Psalm 20:4 May he grant you according to your heart's desires. And fulfill all your purpose.

Have you heard the quote, Pursue what catches your heart, not what catches your eyes. The heart holds your dreams and it holds your visions. You feed your heart with what you write and envision for your life. Your heart is the key to unlocking your purpose. You must have the passion for what you endeavor and dream of doing. Your passion will stay as a burning fire because it is something that you have been created to do. When you love what you do it won't be hard to stay focused. It won't be hard to work around the clock to make sure things are operating. It isn't a struggle. Because you are living the dream. You are living the moment. It is one of the best feelings to have, to be where your heart is. Misery and unhappiness comes from not being true to yourself. Settling for things that do not match our purpose, or who we are is an invitation to living a life of uncertainty, disappointments and many days of just wondering about the what ifs. I am learning to be where my heart is. If my heart yearns for more girl time. That is where I am going to be. If my heart wants more family time, guess what I will be there. If my time is up in a certain field where my occupation is concerned, I will follow my heart with my red pumps and nude lipstick on. Why did I mention those two things? Simply put girl, you can't make power moves without a good high heel and the perfect shade of lipstick. Always takes you to a boss mindset. HA!

Being where your heart is has to be a brave mood. It has to be courageous, and mostly it is going to take you adjusting to what is proposed. Discern what you need in certain moments. Become a little more selfish. Do what it takes to make sure you are protecting your peace, and your happiness. I had to learn this the hard way. When you are so used to making sure everyone around you is good you seem to put your needs and desires on the backburner. Not realizing that you need what it is you have been giving. Give yourself some more. Some more attention. Some more space. Some more love. Some more happiness. You deserve it.

And mostly what you need is to pursue what catches your heart…and not your eyes. For the eyes desires what the flesh may want. What your heart wants is what your life truly needs.
